Gift card terms
These terms apply to Refined gift cards. The seller is Rachel Storey trading as Refined Medical Aesthetics, Double Row, Seaton Delaval NE25 0PP, hello@refinedmedicalaesthetics.uk.
What you can spend it on
A Refined gift card can be spent in the Refined skincare shop online and towards treatments, products and consultations at the clinic in Seaton Delaval. You can use it in part: whatever you don’t spend stays on the card until it expires.
How long it lasts
Each gift card is valid for the period shown before you buy it (12 months unless stated otherwise), from the day it is issued. The expiry date is printed on the card and in the email. Any balance left after the expiry date can no longer be used.
Treatments and suitability
- Every treatment is subject to a consultation and an assessment of suitability. A gift card does not guarantee that a particular treatment can be given.
- Some treatments are prescription treatments. These always need a full consultation first, and Rachel, as the treating nurse, decides whether a treatment is suitable. If it isn’t, the balance can be used for something else.
- Injectable treatments are only available to clients aged 18 and over, whatever the gift card says.
- Appointments depend on availability, and the usual clinic booking and cancellation policy applies.
Using it in the shop
Enter the code in your bag under Use a gift card. If the order costs more than the balance, you pay the rest by card. Gift cards can be used on one off orders; they can’t pay for subscriptions.
Using it at the clinic
Mention the gift card when you book or at your appointment and bring the code. The amount is taken from the balance on the day, and you’ll be told what is left.
Refunds and cash
Gift cards can’t be exchanged for cash and unused balances aren’t refunded, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. As the buyer you can cancel within 14 days of buying it for a full refund, as long as none of it has been used. If a product bought with a gift card is returned under the returns policy, the refund goes back onto the gift card. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Lost cards and security
Treat the code like cash. If the email is lost, I can resend it to the buyer or recipient. If you think someone else has the code, tell me straight away and I’ll cancel it and issue a new code for the remaining balance, with proof of purchase.
Sending to someone else
Please check the recipient’s email address. I send the gift card at 8am UK time on the date you choose. If it doesn’t arrive, email me and I’ll resend it.
